The Solution offered and configured at World Food Program - WFP Kampala consists of:

NetApp Storage Boxes FAS270C and FAS250 configured as a Disaster Tolerant Storage Area Network, and integrated with a Microsoft Cluster running WFPs critical Lotus Notes Mail Server.

The DR solution is configured in such a way that the NetApp FAS 270C running NetApp's Ontap 7.0 operating system provides a fully redundant, no single point of failure (NSPoF); Consolidated SAN to the Microsoft 2000 Cluster Running a Lotus notes Mail server application.

More over the data on the FAS 270C at WFP Headquarters Kampala, is replicated in real time using NetApp's Snap Mirror Remote replication software to the WFP Disaster Recovery Site 10 Kilometers away at Nalukolongo warehouse, consisting of a NetApp FAS250.

Similar Microsoft Windows 2000 cluster running a Lotus Notes Mail server application at Nalukolongo warehouse consisting of a NetApp FAS250 and data is replicate with FAS270C.

The Bi-Direction data replication will ensure the availability of updated data at both site, which can take over in case of a total failure of operations at either headquarters or warehouse site.
