Project Overview

The government of Uganda engaged in a data collection census for Nationplanning statics in 2003. The exercise collected terabytes worth of data, and as was emergent, the data processing requirement was an enormous task. The Government engaged in procurement of ICT base to enhance the collection, analysis, and processing of the data to meaningful statistics that could then be made electronically available to stakeholders.

Computer Point won a bid to enhance Data Proccessing for the 2003 Census, at the Data Proccessing Center at Peacock Building 6t h Street Industrial Area. Computer Point is a record 4 weeks deployed a fully structured Krone Highband Network spanning 3 Floors of the building. The Datacenter now supports 24-hour service on a structured network backbone offered by Computer Point with a 24 x 7 x 365 a year.
